holiday gift guide 2013

Christmas is less than 6 weeks away.

I don’t know how that happened. I don’t know where this year went. Regardless, I’m more than happy to jump into the Christmas festivities and enjoy ever minute of the season. And [for me] that means gift shopping which I look forward to all year long. I always have more fun giving presents than I ever do getting them…and that’s saying something because I love presents. I mean, who doesn’t?

Obviously the people on each of our shopping lists is different, but I thought it would be fun to put together a little holiday gift guide that incorporates ideas for every category. Some of these items are things I’ve been eyeing, some are things I’m already buying for people (shh..), and some are things that I just think people would love. Feel free to steal these ideas or share your own down below!

  1. I am the same way, I love gift giving so much! I haven’t really began to start thinking about what to get people yet because I think I’m in denial that Christmas is so soon. I better get on it I suppose!

I’ve been in denial too, I think! It’s just crazy that it snuck up on us so quickly! Oh well. Time to enjoy it. (:

      Right?! They’re adorable!

  2. I’m the same way with presents — much prefer giving than receiving, although it stresses me out because I’m always trying to get the -perfect- gift for someone, ya know? And that can be especially difficult when it comes to guys!

Guys are the hardest EVER. Like, that’s the only thing that ever stresses me out. haha. And the funny thing is, they’re probably the easiest to please!

  3. The Philosophy gift set is a great idea! I’ll have to be on the look out. Guys are so impossible to buy for!

That wallet under “Gifts for Him” looks like an ice cream sandwich.

What is a conscious box description? It looks cool!

It’s a box of eco-friendly items/food that you receive once a month! I’ve subscribed to a few different box services but never this one…I’ve heard great things about it though!

Sounds cool! I’ll have to try it out!

Yeee! So happy to hear that you love the one-line-a-day book. I think I’m going to buy one for myself!

I love the one line a day journal! I’m excited about going shopping for gifts for others…working on black friday, not so much!

I’m planning on doing a similar gift post, but it’ll follow a different theme :P.

I do too! I’m thinking I’m going to buy one of the journals for myself…it’ll be so fun to look back on someday.

And yay! Can’t wait to see your post!

  7. I agree about this semester just flying by – and I’m LOVING it, because I’m so ready for Christmas! I’ve definitely been watching Christmas movies and singing Christmas songs for a few weeks already #noshame

Definitely feel the same way with presents….but I still enjoy receiving them as well:)
Great list of things! I always find my Parents are the absolute worst to shop for…like what am I supposed to get them that they can’t buy themselves. Such a tough buy.

I totally agree! I think DIY gifts are always the best for parents- they love things with sentimental value. (:

So insane how Christmas is just around the corner! It feels like it was just January.

I love the gifts for her ideas because they’re all things I would love, and I think any of these would be perfect for my sister and a couple of my friends because we’ve got similar tastes. I love giving people something I know they’ll love, and it’s a perk if I happen to love it too!

    • Emily said:

That’s exactly how I am when I’m shopping for other people- I look for things that I know I’d enjoy. And thankfully, most of my friends/family have similar taste to me. (:

  10. haha my sister asked for a philosophy set!! but it’s different from the one you have up there. her’s has like 6 things in it and was way more pricier but if it works, I just might buy it for myself too. 😉
