live a little life

Life is too short…

to say “no”
to do things you don’t enjoy
to suppress your creativity
to turn down an opportunity
to bash your body
to stay inside
to turn down a challenge
to stop loving
to diet obsessively
to exercise excessively
to not laugh
to not smile
to not live

Think back on your life– all 20+ years of it. What do you remember? What memories are cherished?

We don’t remember the days spent in comfort and perfect routine. We don’t remember the schedules or the safety or the unnecessary stress. We remember joy, beauty, new experiences, accomplishments, friends, family, delicious food, spontaneity, freedom, excitement, bliss

Make sure that your next 20+ years are filled with those things.
Nourishing happiness is one thing you’ll never, ever regret.

Here’s to smiling like it’s going out of style…

That ending sentence….so perfect! This whole post was entirely amazing, I always need the reminder to live life and enjoy it. That last photo really makes me wish I were at the beach right now instead of studying for finals!! πŸ˜€ lol

You always have the best reminders — thank you πŸ™‚ It’s crazy how we can waste so much time worrying about unimportant things instead of seeing the big picture and trying to appreciate each day for what it is, because our time here is so limited.

Love love LOVE!!! So simple, direct, honest, and utterly true. You are so right – we don’t remember the days that were routine for us. Our mind and memories skip over the days that don’t elicit anything special out of our hearts. It’s the unique days that burn into our memory for life πŸ™‚

    Truth

  10. Yes, yes, YESSSSS (yes, yes πŸ˜‰ ). I used to think I thrived on routine and familiarity, but the truth of the matter was that it was suffocating me and taking away any excitement I had for life. Change keeps things interesting, and this world offers us so many beautiful things, that it’s a crime to do the same ones every day.

  11. Even if I’m the most repetitive of all broken records I can just say it once more: you’re an inspiration to many many people and you have a beautiful way with words. Clear, straight-forward, outlining the quintessence perfectly but still very warm tone. Okay, sorry for this analytic phrase in there. Can we just fast-forward to two years from now?! ❀
