Life is stressful. No matter who you are, what your situation is, or how “great” everything looks on the surface…it truly is a universal feeling. When we allow ourselves to get caught up in it, hills become mountains and little [insignificant] things begin to feel like the end of the world.
So, today I just wanted to remind you that life isn’t perfect and
sometimes that’s okay.
to drink multiple cups of coffee just to get through the day
to treat yourself to some pampering (just because)
to call your mom when you need to vent
to turn off your alarm and just sleep
to believe in retail therapy
to choose going out over staying in
to take a break from studying and just breathe
to feel lonely
to feel frustrated
to feel confident
to feel sexy
to admit that you might want to pursue a different career
to just live in the moment, whatever that means
Life is evolving. It never stops, it never slows down. When we become static the world seems to violently spin around us. Not only do we have to allow change, we must encourage it. Don’t fear the unknown- embrace it. Don’t run away from mistakes- learn from them. And don’t focus so much on the future that you forget to see what’s right in front of you. Happiness doesn’t live in yesterday or tomorrow, it lives within you at this very moment. Feel it. Love it. Share it.
